IMPORTANT NOTICE
Captain’s Cove owners and guests:
Anytime there is a storm approaching, we want to make sure everyone is prepared. We have been through these storms and know what to expect. Do NOT take this lightly. We could possibly lose power and our roads could possibly flood.
The Weather Channel is 27 on your TV.
In the event of a hurricane/tropical storm warning, we urge you to take precautions for yourself and for Captain’s Cove:
- Move all furniture away from the windows, cover it or move it to rooms that are least likely to receive damage.
- Bring inside all outdoor patio plants, pots, chairs, tables, furniture, decorations, and any other items from your patio. Leave NOTHING on the patio.
- Fill up your bathtub to have a back-up of available water.
- Park all vehicles in the covered parking off 75th.
- When possible, disconnect plugs prior to power loss to limit appliance or electronic damage.
Be always sure that we know how to contact you. It is critical we have cell phones and emails.
In the event the evacuation is not mandatory, and you stay – be sure to have plenty of drinking water, flashlights, batteries, a full tank of gas in your car, personal or legal papers stored in plastic bags, and first aid supplies.
